Hello! My name is Dr. Carley Piatt (she/her). I have a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Alberta, and an MSc in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Victoria. My undergraduate training in Psychology and Philosophy was at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist (AB P6933) providing services across Alberta virtually, with in-person sessions in Edmonton starting in July 2023.
I seek to create a space that is warm and nurturing as I help people navigate the ebb and flow of life and the many transitions along the way. I guide people in finding their resilience through the hard parts, and connecting with their joy in the sweet bits. My approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered using somatic and talk therapy as my primary therapeutic modalities with some opportunities for expressive therapies along the way. I am passionate about working with:
I am a settler who grew up in the shadow of the Colorado Rocky Mountains on the lands of the Ute, Cheyenne, and Arapahoe peoples. I have been growing roots in Canada for more than two decades and have been living and working on Treaty 6 land for almost 15 years. Outside of my clinical practice, I am a parent, partner, daughter, friend, and sometimes-adventurer. I am an avid collector of art supplies, love listening to music, and spending time outside. |
I am seeing clients both virtually and in-person.
My session rate is $190/session
and I offer sliding scale rates of $130 or $160 per session.
Limited lower sliding scale rates are available for perinatal clients.
