Hi! My name is Marilu, and I am a counselling‑psychology intern completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
My counselling style is warm, collaborative, and gently challenging. I integrate Person‑Centred values as my primary approach with Cognitive‑Behavioural and Solution-Focused strategies, aiming to provide a healing, non-judgemental space for those dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship conflict, self-esteem and self-identity struggles. Together we can work on building practical skills and cultivating self‑compassion towards growth and well-being for your unique situation. I welcome clients with various types of concerns including:
Outside the therapy room you’ll find me exploring Edmonton’s food scene with spouse and our little one, practicing physical activities like hiking and yoga, or reconnecting with the music and flavours of my home. If you’re seeking a culturally responsive space to feel heard and build resilience, I would be honoured to meet you. I live and work on Treaty 6 territory and homeland of First Nations and Métis peoples. |
I am seeing individual adult clients virtually.
My session rate is $75/session. I offer a sliding scale as needed.
If you feel I would be a good fit, please reach out via the Contact page.
I look forward to working with you!
