Investment
I follow the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta’s Recommended Fee Schedule.
For 2020-2021, the recommended fee is $200/session for both individual and relationship counselling. I also offer direct billing through several insurance companies including Alberta Blue Cross, Greenshield, and CanadaLife. |
I am unable to offer a sliding scale or reduced fee to new clients at this time.
Lower-Cost Options
If the cost of therapy is prohibitive to you, here are a few suggestions:
1. Working with one of my supervisees
At any given time, I am usually supervising at least one:
● Masters of Counselling or Psychology student through their university practicum
● Provisional Psychologist (someone who has their degree and is working towards licensure)
My supervisees are all at different stages of their professional development and have various strengths, interests, and experiences in working with clients. If paying full fees for psychological services is prohibitive to you, I invite you to read their bios and see if one of them would be able to provide you with the care you’re seeking. They can offer counselling at a reduced rate, as outlined in their bios. I meet with them at least one hour a week individually and as a monthly supervision group.
We will work together closely to ensure you are receiving exceptional care. Both my supervisees and I are always open to feedback on your experiences in therapy.

2. Seeking out another feminist counsellor
Nicole Perry, Registered Psychologist, has compiled a list of other feminist therapists in the Edmonton area, some of whom are able to offer sliding scale. Click here to visit her website.

Therapists I currently supervise
If you require lower-cost counselling, one of my supervisees may be a good choice.
